Katie has always loved helping people, and she saw the law as an avenue to put her passions to good use. In 2007, Katie’s grandmother was diagnosed withAlzheimer’s Disease. Not only was Katie’s family forced to cope with the devastating diagnosis, they also had to deal with the fact that her grandmother had no legal documents or plans in place. It was at that point in time Katie decided she wanted to practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, guardianship, and elder law to try and help others plan before it was too late.During her time as an attorney, Katie has been blessed to help her clients with not only their estate planning, probate, guardianship, and elder law needs, but also to provide guidance and assistance with other areas of law as well.

Katie was born and raised in Abilene, Texas and earned her undergraduate and law degrees from Texas Tech University. She is involved in many organizations including: Abilene Young Professionals; Abilene Bar Association; Abilene Young Lawyers Association Texas Bar Association; Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section; National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
